SB5

sb5

SB5 is a high density chipboard where larger than usual wood chips are used in order to bear loads in conditions which have a medium to high humidity count. This panel is often seen as an alternative to OSB 4 and therefore can be used in the same manner as OSB 4.

The usage of a high quality MUF glue and large wood chips create a panel with the following benefits:

  • Prevents the panel from undergoing the effects of swelling and expanding when exposed to conditions of high humidity.
  • Boards can be stored, while still unfinished, in different weather conditions for weeks.
  • Particularly screwable core
  • Evenly sanded surface providing uniform thickness and high quality finish.
  • Good bending strength in either direction
  • Low formaldehyde emissions (E1)

Dimensions and stock range

Thickness: 11 to 22 mm. Width and length: 2030 - 2100 to 5720 length and 2440 - 2620 to 6350 length, a central cut can be provided. The high-capacity saws support all sawing dimensions. In principle, all thicknesses and lengths/widths are available within the press capabilities.
